When Will I Ever Learn?

We have been working on the house for, like, forever. Things are starting to come together now, and I am slapping myself in the head for my stupidity at not starting with some "before" pictures to show off to people now seeing the "after."

Good grief. People who never saw the house before we started just roll their eyes and say "Yeah, so?" They have NO clue, and I have no way to make my point if they have nothing by which to compare.
