For What It's Worth

I am delinquent in posting. Severely. I have dozens sitting here partially completed, waiting for my largeness to get around to finishing them.... I'll think about it, sooner or later. In the meantime, I have other stuff occupying my mind and taking up the entirety of my physical presence - and likely the reason I have hit a rapid downward spiral the last couple months with my health: I just found out I am pregnant.

With each of my last 3 completed pregnancies (and all of my miscarriages, actually), I vomited from start to finish and it never struck me as odd that I have been throwing up nonstop for weeks; I attributed it to my ganky eye, which makes me dizzy and throw up, A LOT.... I never put 2 and 2 together, until I realized I could not remember when my last period was (another bit of weirdness that never means much to me anyhow, being Irregular Flo for the past 25 years), which I tore my brain apart for and could only come up with something not completely normal some time around Christmas - so about 8 weeks or so ago.

The difference this time, however, would be the fact that I have been on multiple Class C medications in an attempt to control my MS. Fortunately, I have been off the Copaxone injections for a while; but I have continued to take Provigil for fatigue and Lyrica for pain.

And my neurologist told me I must stop them.

Of course, this has me concerned. I never had anything more than the routine triple screen with my prior pregnancies. Combined with advanced maternal age (now being 36), this makes me wonder if it might not behoove me to run the gamut this time around - not as a plan for aborting (I could not ever do that, period) but just to be prepared.

On the upside - if this is what is causing me to decompensate physically, MAYBE I will get back to my "baseline" in a few short months and not have to go on disability like my NL suggested! So, keep your fingers crossed that our Peripheral Psycho does not do to me again as she did before, harassing and threatening and stressing me out to the point of loss of my child (which elicited great glee from said PP, unsurprisingly), and that I get a GIRL.
